Procon Group Inc. provides general contracting and construction management for commercial buildings across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area and Southern Ontario. We have operated since 2008, and our commercial projects generally fall between approximately $25,000 and $3 million — the scale at which owners and property managers need a contractor who is directly accountable rather than one running the job at a distance.

Construction in Buildings That Stay Open

Commercial renovation rarely comes with an empty building. Tenants keep working, customers keep arriving, and the parts of the building you are not touching have to keep operating normally.

We phase the work, hoard it off and schedule the disruptive parts outside business hours. Access routes, washroom availability, deliveries and parking are planned before the first day rather than negotiated during it. Where building systems have to come down, shutdowns are booked, communicated and kept short.

Working With Owners, Managers and Consultants

Most of our commercial clients are not construction people, and the ones who are do not want surprises either. We work to a clear line of communication: one point of contact, regular reporting, early notice of anything affecting cost or schedule, and no discovery of problems at the end.

On renovation work, existing conditions are the usual source of change. When something unexpected appears behind a wall, we document it, price it and bring the consultant and owner into the decision rather than proceeding and explaining afterwards.

Safety, Site Control and Closeout

An occupied commercial building puts the public and building staff close to the work. Site control, protection of finished areas, housekeeping and daily site conditions are managed as part of the job rather than as an afterthought.

We finish properly: deficiency walkthroughs, corrections completed, documentation and warranties handed over, and the space returned in a condition the client can use immediately.
